Thomas Corser is retired from Juniper Networks based in Sunnyvale California, where he led the transformation from Hardware to a subscription-based software business model. Tom started his career at AT&T Bell Laboratories developing fiber optic packages for terrestrial long-haul telecom/datacom applications. He went on to support business development and strategy at AT&T exploring new acquisitions and partnership with wireless providers, cable companies and other digital technology companies to enable new growth areas for AT&T. Tom also spent 8 years with Avaya in strategic marketing and market intelligence, demand generation and reporting. He also led the marketing and sales go-to-market operations for Juniper Networks and established Juniper’s foothold in the public cloud marketplaces prior to his software transformation role.

Tom is a proud graduate of Class VXIII of the MLP 2022 program. He will serve on the MLP Board and will co-chair of Community and Economic Development Day. He serves on the CPS Citizens Advisory Committee, nominated by John Courage representing District 9. Acting as an interface between CPS Energy and its customers, providing a channel for two-way communication between the community and the utility.  Tom is also leading the formation of an Arboretum for San Antonio and serves as the co-chair of the Friends of the San Antonio Arboretum. Tom has also served and is serving on various nonprofit non board committees to help with strategy, marketing and development.

Tom holds a Mechanical Engineering degree Texas A&M and a Masters of Manufacturing Systems Engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison. Tom and his wife Tina moved to San Antonio from New Jersey in 2017, where they lived for 20 year and raised their two boys who still live on the east coast.
