Stephanie Chandler is a partner in the Business Transactions section of Jackson Walker L.L.P. and is currently the firm-wide head of the firm's Technology section. Ms. Chandler's practice consists of representing corporate clients in transactions ranging from general corporate representation to private and public offerings of securities and SEC compliance matters. She also regularly represents companies in relation to emerging technology issues.
Ms. Chandler is a member of the Board of Directors of the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce where she just completed her chair year for their SustainAbility program which supports educational scholarships. She is also a member of the Board of Directors for the San Antonio Medical Foundation, the Board of Startech, and the Steering Committee of the Advisory Council for University of Texas at San Antonio College of Engineering where she co-chairs the Development Committee. She is the Past Chair of the Board of Directors of Family Services Association of San Antonio, where she has also chaired their Program Evaluation Committee and was the founding co-chair of the agency's largest fundraising event. Ms. Chandler also serves on. Ms. Chandler is an active member of the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce where she chairs the Energy and Sustainability Committee and her contributions have included serving as a member of the Steering Committee for Leadership San Antonio XXIX and graduating from and serving as Vice President of her Leadership San Antonio XXVIII class.
Ms. Chandler was recognized for her service to the San Antonio community with the North San Antonio Chamber's Young Professional Award. Ms. Chandler is a repeat selection to the Texas Rising Star list (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013), featured in the Texas Monthly magazine and was named the Outstanding Lawyer in the Rising Star category by the San Antonio Business Journal (2011). Ms. Chandler was selected by the San Antonio Business Journal as one of "40 Rising Stars Under 40" recognizing her accomplishments in business, community, and career and was recognized by the Scene in SA as one of 13 young professionals under 30 in the San Antonio Community (2004) and by the Scene in SA as a "Rising Star" (2005) and "Best Lawyers" (2009 and 2012) in the San Antonio Legal Community.
Ms. Chandler received her B.S.B.A. in Finance, with highest distinction, from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln where she was selected a member of the university's homecoming court based on her extensive community service as a student at Nebraska. She received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she served as Program Director for Action for a Better Living Environment (ABLE), which provides mentoring programs and tutoring to disadvantaged youth. She remains active with the fundraising efforts on behalf of the law school's Foundation. Stephanie and her husband, Chip, have two boys Wyatt (8 years) and Brady (6 years).
